Press Release

Tickets for May 14-16, 2010 NASCAR tripleheader weekend at Dover go on sale Monday, Oct. 12

DOVER, Del. – For race fans that just can’t wait for NASCAR’s return to Dover International Speedway in 2010, there’s good news – they’ll be coming back to the Monster Mile three weeks earlier than usual.

Fans watch the field race through Turn 2 at the Monster Mile

Race fans can reserve great seats for the May 14-16, 2010 race weekend at Dover, featuring the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, NASCAR Nationwide Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, when tickets go on sale on Monday, Oct. 12 at 8 a.m.

Tickets can be purchased by calling the Dover ticket office at 800-441-RACE or online by clicking here. By ordering early, fans can reap the benefits of improved seating selection, better ticket availability, and with the holidays right around the corner, the perfect gift for any NASCAR fan. Dover’s popular hospitality options including the Monster Mile Club, Blue Crew, Turn 4 Club and Take a Kid to the Races packages will also be available starting October 12.

Jimmie Johnson stole the show, and two monster trophies, during Dover's May and September race weekends in 2009. With five career Dover wins under his belt, Johnson is now tied with David Pearson for third all-time at the Monster Mile. If he can repeat the sweep in 2010, he'll join Richard Petty and Bobby Allison on the seven-win plateau at Dover.

Tickets for Dover's "Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup" weekend, Sept. 24-26, 2010, will go on sale to the public on Monday, Dec. 14, 2009. Returning fans still have the opportunity to renew their same seats for the September 2010 race weekend until Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2009.

Dover International Speedway continues to offer event ticket insurance for all events, along with an array of ticket options including special three-day ticket packages, all-inclusive hospitality packages, early buy discounts, and a variety of payment plans.
